Well...not quite technically! Jamie has been having his transition mornings at primary school and last week he wore his uniform. So excited about it that he wore it all day and even asked to sleep in it at night...this Friday will be his last morning and then I daresay it will be a long few weeks of holidays with Jamie asking when he will be going to school..!

Jamie and Chloe celebrated their birthdays yesterday with a birthday party with family and friends. Jamie turned 5 yesterday and had the most wonderful day and received some fantastic gifts. We met our gorgeous new niece/cousin yesterday, Isabella Therese...still not sure who she looks like but I think she definately has a bit of 'Jury' in her! Cross Country!

Nicholas' school had their annual cross country race at the Lethbridge Lake on Friday, their last day of school. I'm happy to say that Nicholas' came 2nd in his prep boys race...he was leading from the last half of the race but stopped for one of his friends who subsequently came first! Well done Nicholas!!

Thomas the Tank Engine Fun Run

Last weekend, Nicholas, Jamie, Chloe and myself went to Drysdale for the Thomas Fun Run, Dad and Wendy also came along. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time. Chloe did well in her little fun run, she was winning but slowed in the end to look around for me! Jamie was a DNS...as I watched all the other kids run past I missed him and came to the conclusion he was just super-fast...no...still standing on the start line! Nicholas also ran well and came in about 10th. The kids all received show bags and certificates for their efforts! We also enjoyed a ride on the 'troublesome trucks' which they thoroughly enjoyed!

Today was also another first day for both Jamie and Chloe. Jamie started 4yo kinder today and Chloe started Family Day Care, both were really happy to be going and there were even no tears from Chloe! Nicholas was also keen to go to school today - ready at 8am and nagging to get going!

Yes, Nicholas had his first day of school today...he was very excited, jumped straight out of bed this morning with a big grin on his face. He was ready to go by 8 o'clock...let's hope this happens everyday! I feel a bit lost without him even though he's been to kinder and I've still got Jamie and Chloe with me...this is sad, but I'm counting down the clock until I see him this afternoon! Well Happy New Year to everyone! It has been sooo long since I've blogged but we've been a bit flat out at the minute! Our house has finally been 'signed off' after 2 years (2 YEARS!!) so much moving stuff around to where it should be (I have so much more than I thought!! lol) But we will get there! I've also been busy studying and got a HD (high distinction) on my first assignment (yay me!!) for Cert 3 in Children's Services...I also have my Senior First Aid certificate this Wednesday so have been studying to pass that too (bit scared about that one!) One of my GF's also had a baby boy nearly 3 weeks ago - welcome Thomas David! My step-sister had her twin boys a week ago - Thomas Gregory and Lachlan William (both just over 6 pounds each - ouch!) We visited my sister-in-law over the weekend and she is due with her first at the end of April so it's just babies all round! Also starting to get Nicholas' things together for Prep this year...he is so excited and just can't wait to start...the first of my babies to start school - where has the time gone?! The kids recently went to a dress-up party for a kinder friend of Nicholas'...here they are with Chloe as 'Stephanie' and Jamie as 'Sportacus' from 'Lazy Town,' and Nicholas as a pirate...

Well we have started to lay down tiles in our bathroom...very exciting...can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (so to speak!) Nearly everything is painted...just need to do the feature wall in Nicholas' room and finish off the walk-in wardrobe area...waiting for the carpet layer to come and measure up as we have chosen our carpet...it's all go at the minute!!

Chloe was lucky enough to get some lovely presents...2 that have been a huge hit are her bubble machine and her Care Bear 'Cheer Bear.' An update on our renovations...I've nearly finished painting...just need to do the feature wall in Nicholas' new room and finish off our walk-in wardrobe area..will publish photos soon! Start tiling in the ensuite tomorrow...yay! Have chosen carpet and just waiting for that to be measured...we can see the light at the end of the tunnel..!

Happy Birthday to Jamie who turned 4 on Saturday...we had a combined party for both him and Chloe with close family and friends. Jamie was so excited to finally get his bike from us and his fire truck from Belinda...they were all he wanted!! Their cake was a castle and that was quickly demolished after blowing out the candles...a lovely day had by all with Jamie and Chloe receiving some lovely presents...thank goodness we've got an extra room to put it all in!!!

Happy birthday to our darling little Princess, Chloe - 2 already! Where does the time fly to?! we celebrated her birthday on Tuesday as Matt is away in Moura at the moment...a pink cake with butterflies which the kids helped to make. She loved her teaset but REALLY LOVED her 'Upsy Daisy' doll and book...photo's to come as my camera is also away on holidays so you'll all have to make do with this one of Chloe! Happy birthday also to one of my wonderful girlfriends Kylie...yay!!

Some pictures of Chloe after we collected some jonquils from our garden...she was in charge of carrying them and kept pointing them out and saying 'more flowers!' She then helped to put them in a vase, I gave her the first stem for her to put in and she put it in upside down and she swished it around!

A quick update, our plaster is in the process of being 'stopped' up so we are just about ready to begin painting!! Yay!! Paint is ready to go and Nicholas' new room is first on the agenda...a bit of a disagreement with Nicholas wanting a red room as it is his favourite colour however I want it to be green..I sweetened him up by telling him we would buy some 'red' things for his room...! Yes, I finally hit the big 3-4 on Thursday...bit of a quiet day really...pilates in the morning and a lazy day for the remainder of the day! Nicholas was quiet insistent that my birthday cake HAD to be a carrot cake (?) ...I think he has been watching too much 'Peppa Pig!' After one bite he promptly said it was yuck while Chloe and Jamie happily ate theirs with Jamie proclaiming it was now his favourite! Nicholas helped make the actual cake while Chloe had her first turn in the kitchen and helped with the icing...yum!

Thursday 24th saw our oldest son Nicholas turn the big 5! He had his party the previous Saturday at McDonald's with family and friends. All the kids had a fantastic time and Nicholas received some really lovely presents...here is the birthday boy with his ice-cream cake and also Jamie and Chloe tucking into their Happy Meals. We also had our friend Chantelle for tea on Wednesday night (another cake!), some kinder friends around for lunch on Thursday (another cake!) and Uncle Danny around for tea on Thursday night (another cake!) I'm seriously all 'caked out!' Happy birthday darling boy! xox

Sunday 20th saw me spend all day at our local primary school's market day...met many people although takings weren't that great! Hopefully news has spread that there is a scrapbooking consultant in the town and it is the start of bigger and better things to come! Grand Prix Weekend

Had a fantastic weekend! Matt and I spent Saturday at the Grand Prix in the Castrol corporate box...sooo much food, drink and a perfect possie under the marquee to watch all the action. I was lucky enough to meet Russell Ingall and Steve Richards, such lovely blokes, and had a photo taken with them. Just a really, really great day! Sunday was just as good (for me!) Spent a lovely 4-hour afternoon lunch with Kylie and Rebecca (no kiddies!) and it was soooo relaxing...must do it again soon! Also, a layout for my calendar of the gorgeous Miss. Chloe...I love this paper and have been dying to use it!

So it was Jamie's turn to officially start kinder - unfortunately he missed yesterday as both the boys were up all Sunday night being sick in the toilet, though they are both feeling much better now. Jamie was proud as punch to be going although today was only a 1 hour 'getting to know you' session and I know he was itching to stay longer! I think all the kids were pretty pleased about it..!

Nicholas' first day back at kinder - he's doing 4 year old this year. He's pretty happy to be back at kinder, Jamie is chomping at the bit to go and so is Chloe for that matter! Jamie starts a couple of 1 hour sessions next week to ease into it and the following week, his regular 2.5 hour sessions...

Hope everyone had a lovely christmas and a fantastic new year's! Apart from having to take Chloe to the doctor's christmas morning (just where you want to be!!) it was just lovely. We headed to our caravan on Boxing Day and enjoyed the lovely summer weather (nothing under 39'C!) New Year's Eve saw us drinking slushy pina colada's, hawaiian skirts, shirts and lei's and doing a bit of limbo! A really fun night!! We also celebrated my dear friend Trish's 36th birthday, so all in all, a great time away! Here are the first layouts I've FINALLY gotten around to making for my calendar! January is of Jamie and February is the gorgeous Miss. Chloe!

Christmas in Lethbridge

Well after watching many Christmas shows with snowmen in it, Nicholas, Jamie and I decided it would be fun to build our own - from sand. The kids got a real kick out of it and since I don't think we'll ever get enough snow to do one, this is the next best thing!

Kalari Christmas Party!

On Saturday we attended the Kalari Christmas Party held this year at Werribee Zoo. Apart from a bit of rain it was a great day, the kids certainly enjoyed it, especially the safari bus tour. A photo of Matt, Chloe, Nicholas, Jordja and Jamie on the safari bus and one of the gorgeous little meerkats that Chloe just loved! The day ended with a visit from Santa, though unfortunately Miss. Chloe fell asleep waiting for her gift!

Been a bit quiet as of late but had a fantastic day on Sunday - spent all day shopping at DFO Essendon with my bestie Belinda and my dear girlfriends Kylie and Cindy. Was armed with money I had already been given as an early Chrissie present so managed to come home with a few bags and some chrissie gifts as well. Four very tired, but all very happy, women at the end of the day! Thanks girls for a great day!!

A Christmas Gift...

Decorated this wooden stationary organiser as a Christmas gift for Nicholas' kinder teacher, Lyn - just the loveliest lady! Used Cosmo Cricket Be Good Favourite Things paper onto a CI Bare Elements Yvonnie Wood Organiser. Painted the holders with MM Funky Vintage 'Sea Foam' and the base with MM 'Cranberry.' Cut out chipboard lettering - also painted with 'Cranberry' and finished off with a couple of floral embellishments from Blueyedezines Paper Flowers! I figured Lyn deserved something really nice as she will also be teaching Jamie next year so she'll definately have her hands full then!!

Geelong Show

Last Friday night saw the Jury's at the Geelong Show to support Matt and the rest of the Lethbridge CFA compete in the 'Bale of Straw' competition. The Clark's and the Parker's also came along to show their support - it must have worked as Lethbridge came 1st!! Well done!! Some pics from the show, Jamie and Nicholas playing the clowns, Nicholas on the train ride and Matt and Nicholas in the dodgems. The night finished with some awesome fireworks (Nicholas is still talking about it!)

'Stampin' Up' Class

Well I lucky enough to join Trish and some lovely ladies last Saturday for a Stampin' Up Christmas Card Making class. Had an absolute ball!! The time just flew by. After dinner with the Clarks, Trish and I retreated to her studio to indulge in a bit of scrapbooking (of course!) Here are the results of my card making with my two favourites!
